| Sunday 23rd September | Carboniferous geology around Dunsop Bridge, Craven Basin with Paul
Kabrna.     This is a joint field meeting with the Craven and
Pendle Geology Society.
Meet in the car park at Dunsop Bridge (SD 662 502).     Bring packed lunch, boots and waterproofs. We will be looking at limestones and mudstone exposures in the Trough of Bowland and the Hodder Valley. Start time - 10:15, Estimated finish 16:00 |
| Sunday 14th October | Alison Quarterman : Folly Dolly Falls, Meltham, near Huddersfield
- a waterfall over faulted Carboniferous sandstones and shales
Meet Alison at Morrison’s car park, Meltham (SE 100107), below the rock exposure for a short, level walk.     Wellies are essential for seeing the fault and its features clearly. For more information about Folly Dolly Falls click here Start time - 14:00, Estimated finish 16:00

| Sunday 11th November | Alison Quarterman : Beaumont Park, Huddersfield. This is a
combined visit with the West Yorkshire Geology Trust.
Park on the road outside the main entrance to Beaumont Park (SE 127 146). Meet at the gatehouse just inside the park for a short walk to see Carboniferous Rough Rock sandstones, sedimentary structures and views of the local landscape. Start time - 14:00

| Sunday 17th February | Creswell Crags and the Ice Age.     Visit to the museum
and to Robin Hood Cave.
Meet at Creswell Crags visitor centre (SK 538 744) at Crags Road,
Welbeck, Worksop, S80 3LH.     Tour of the crags and caves,
focusing on the effect of ice in the gorge at 11.00 costing £4.50,
payable on the day.     No children under 5.     Bring
waterproofs and a packed lunch.     In the afternoon we will have
a closer look at the Permian limestone geology.

| Sunday 9th March | Alison Quarterman : Dimple's End Quarry, Haworth.    
This is a combined visit with the West Yorkshire Geology Trust.
Meet at the car park in Dimple's End quarry, Penistone Hill Country Park, near Haworth (SE 025 370) to look at Carboniferous sandstones and shales with fossils, seeing how this quarry can be used for educational purposes. Start time - 14:00

| Sunday 8th June | Alison Quarterman : Tideswell Dale - Miller's Dale, Derbyshire.
Meet at the Tideswell picnic area car park just south of Tideswell (SK 153 743) at 10.00am for an 8 mile walk looking at Carboniferous limestones, basalt lava flows and a dolerite sill.     Bring a packed lunch and    . The walk can be shortened if necessary. Start Time - 10:00
