10th September Geological adventures in the Canadian Rockies, including the Burgess Shale and the Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum, by Alison Quarterman.
8th October Reading the landscape through the eyes of a geologist, by John Varker.
5th November The end-Permian mass extinction gets worse!    Talk by Paul Wignall from Leeds University.
3rd December Annual General Meeting, followed by meal at the Cropper's Arms, Marsh, Huddersfield.
14th January Engineering Geology in the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire Coalfield - colliery tip investigations, highways and earthworks design and coal mining records.     Talk by Bridget Hall of Scott Wilson Group plc.
3rd March Quarries and Geoconservation - opportunities and issues.     Talk by Toby White from Leeds University.
7th April Knockan Cliff and the unaltered Foreland,by Brian Farrington of the Huddersfield Geology Group.
21st April Igneous rocks for beginners, with pictures and specimens to help identification, by Alison Quarterman.
MAY A variety of events for Yorkshire Geology Month.     Details will be available nearer the time.
